Finicky – Selects her friends and people that surround her with great care. Yuuna does not approach individuals that she does not like, and does not hinder herself with communicating to those who do not interest her.
Musical – Always has a tune in her head, and is often found humming different melodies.
Passionate/Loud – Gets excited easily, and is often loud about it. Yuuna is not afraid of expressing her love for things openly, without holding back a notch. Whether a new episode of a British TV show is coming out, or her favourite band has a concert in Japan, everyone will hear about it. Her emotions are also fairly easy to read.
Outspoken/Rude – Is not afraid of voicing her opinion, offensive or not.

B I o g r a p h y:
Akiyawa Yuuna was a mistake. She was born into a poor family on Christmas Eve (a Christmas miracle indeed), and was eventually given up for adoption, due to her biological parents’ financial instability. Yuuna spent the first ten years of her life in an orphanage, and was constantly picked on for her height (she was noticeably taller than her peers even at a young age.) She was also very bad at sports which only intensified the constant teasing. Little by little, she was degraded to the point where none of the younger kids wanted to speak or interact with her, so she spent her time teaching herself to play the old piano in the music room (which mostly consisted of poking different keys until it kind of sounded like a melody.) Yuuna’s only friends were the grimy music books she found stashed in the orphanage storage until she turned eight.

Her first spark of hope arrived to the orphanage wearing tattered shorts and a cocky attitude, in the form of a girl named Dragon. Dragon was 15 when she was admitted to the orphanage, and she was a mystery. None of the kids knew her real name or where she came from, and this made her intriguing – there was something about her demeanor that made her widely respected and idolized. Gradually, Dragon brought together a group of misfits, who would cause mischief around the orphanage. She taught these hopeless kids confidence and strength. By this time, Yuuna had acquired a sharp tongue which she used to scare off her usual tormentors. The group liked her snide attitude, and chose to befriend her. The ‘gang’ was comprised of seven kids, who quickly bonded from the tomfoolery they brought about the orphanage. This collection of misfits was often compared to the infamous Seven Deadly Sins, which earned them their respective title: the Sins. The kids were: Dragon as leader, Yuuna(8), Ryota(14), Tadao(9), Yori(12), Aya(13), and Maeko(8), and each of them was assigned different tasks. Aya, for example, was quick with her hands and was the one to scavenge snacks from the kitchen for the rest of the Sins. Yuuna’s responsibility was to make up songs to entertain the group, as well as to ward off any of the other orphanage kids with the use of her loud voice. Royta had a large build, and served to save the couch for the Sins in the lounge room, and so on. The Sins were infamous, and happy to be so.

All was well until the day Yuuna, now 10 years old, received an adoption offer from a lovely musician couple. Any normal orphan would be absolutely delighted at this opportunity, but Yuuna was outraged. She would’ve declined the offer if not for the persuasive nature of the rest of the Sins (Dragon in general,) and in the end, reluctantly accepted her new parents. After the adoption day, she never saw the kids again; although they promised to one day find her.

Yuuna was a difficult child to bring up, and remained in denial about her new life for a long period of time. Her orphan tricks did not subside until she entered into middle school. She and her parents lived in a petite apartment until she turned 13. Her mother, Nariko Akiyawa and her father, Shigekazu Akiyawa were both music teachers, and helped progress their daughter’s piano skills, (which was also a large trigger in her decision to accept them, as she loves music.) In middle school, Yuuna began to learn to play the guitar, and this remains her dominant instrument to this day.

When she turned 14, her parents had opened a music store in Tokyo, and she worked as a guitar teacher for young kids. The Akiyawa music store gained great success, and she and her family moved to a larger house.

Her parents decided to send her to Tachikawa-High because they wished her to meet other kids with the intense love of music as her, and because they had the money to send her to an elite school.
